 Promise Penguins!
Our newest recruits will be making a start on the Brownie Promise.
Our 2nd & 3rd Year Brownies will make a start on the Centenary Penguin Challenge, and tonight we will be discussing our newly adopted Gentoo Penguin from Belfast Zoo and choosing a name for him and looking at difference in the sizes of the world's smallest and largest penguins. We might even have a go and seeing what it is like to walk like a penguin!

Promise Penguins continued.

Our 1st year Brownies will be looking into the Brownie Promise and what it means, while our 2nd & 3rd Years get crafty and create a decoupage penguin picture.

 Promise Penguins continued.....

Our girls learning the Promise will be continuing with their first challenge while the Penguin Challenge will continue with some Penguin Puzzles, Games and a couple of Penguin Crafts thrown in, including Penguin Poop and Penguin Buns!

Vision 2010
Join us for our Centenary Finale when we will all make or renew our Promises on 20/10/2010 at 20.10!
We will be drumming our way into the next 100 years through an African drumming and dance workshop

Parents are invited to join us on this special occasion and they will be treated to an African extravaganza performed by our own Rainbows & Brownies and will be able to witness us all making or renewing our Promises at the same time of other Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Leaders all around the UK.
November 2010
In November, as part of 'a round the world tour' of Guiding (Brownie style) our first stop will be in Africa, when we will learn about Guiding in that region and have a go at some African crafts and cooking.

Don't forget that Remembrance Day is on the 13th November and we will be laying a wreath at the village War Memorial.

December 2010
 With only 3 short 'Brownie Weeks' in December we will be spending the first two weeks creating Christmas Crafts and finishing off the term with a fancy dress party to celebrate our Units 25th Birthday!
  January 2011 
We conitnue on our 'round the world' them and take a look at Guiding within Europe.
February 2011
 
 It's time to visit Guiding in the Arab Region as well as celebrate out 'Thinking Day' by 'visiting' our 4 Guiding World Centres and taking part in the annual Thinking Day Service, which this year is on Feb 20th.

We will also be going on a trip to our Ulster HQ at Lorne when we will be going by train to take part in a special badge Day - Circus Performers Badge - This will be on Saturday 19th February.
 March 2011  And onto America (including Mexico) - what is it like to be a Brownie here?

We will also be holding a special Mother's & Daughter's Pampering night in celebration of Mother's Day.
April 2011
 We move on around the world and stop at Asia - what will we find out about this region and it's people??

May 2010
With the better weather (hopefully) and brighter nights we will be taking part in some outdoor activities.

Time for another trip - this time we will be joining approx 500 other Brownies from around Northern Ireland as Brownies Take Over Belfast Zoo - this is also the perfect chance for us to visit our adopted penguin! (7th May)
